Here at Rayne Automotive, our flagship products take the shape of bespoke full wiring kits for electrical camper conversions. We've been making these since 2012 now with 1000s of them doing the rounds neatly installed into campers worldwide.

Each kit is made to order to fit each clients individual conversion, so as you might expect we don't only have one way of doing this as every one is different.  We do get asked a lot "how does it work" So I'll explain below.

The process can go in one of two methods.

METHOD ONE

1. Customer opens their copy of our layout calculator form.

2. Customer fills out the form with their desired layout. The form then suggests the relevant products required.

3. Add the relevant products to your quote cart on our website and submit the quote cart with the layout form as the attached file.

4. We get the layout via email, one of our team will run through it all, make sure all of the information required is present and that the kit you have purchased is appropriate for the layout/vehicle.

5. The customer enters the waiting list, which varies in length depending on the season and demand. We will give you an indication of the lead time when we get your quote request.

6. Once we're about 7-10 days away from finishing your kit, we will send you through an invoice with a secure click to pay link inside.

7. We then make the wiring kit, put labels around the end of the wires to show what they need wiring to. Draw up a component locations diagram, box it up and send it out. (noting that batteries are delivered separately to the rest of the wiring kits, coming straight from our suppliers to the customer).

METHOD TWO

1. Customers would emails us with their requirements or book a sales consultation with us.

2. A member of the team will run through the requirements, either over the phone or via email, then we will write the customer an itemised quote based on one of our online kits, with the appropriate modifications or "add-ons".

3. Once the customer is happy with the quote, we will need a completed layout form before we can complete the order. For the layout, please fill in a customer layout form and send it back to us or chat through the layout on the phone (advise is offered in all of these methods).

4. With all the information we need, the next step would be take payment for the order, this can be done over the phone or online via a secure click to pay link we can email with the invoice.

5. As with method one, The kit enters the waiting list, which varies in length depending on the season and demand.

6. As with method one, once we're getting on to making your kit, we will send you through a bill with a click to pay link inside.

7. We then make the kit, put labels around the end of the wires to show what they need wiring to. Draw up a component locations diagram, box it up and send it out. (noting that batteries are delivered separately to the rest of the wiring kits, coming straight from our suppliers to the customer).

* Layout - when we're talking about the "layout". This is a term covering all of the electrical items you'd like wired into your vehicle, where they will go and what vehicle you're converting These usually take the form of a top down view. This is the information we use to work out the lengths of your cables etc.

Neither method gets a priority on time. They both enter the same queue and have the same lead time. So no need to worry.

I hope this helps explain the process. and we look forward to hearing from you in whichever method suits you best.  Have a great day!
